Why the numbers differ.
Our Read
The PP130 shares an EPA listing with the Quadra-Fire Outfitter II and PelPro PP150, and it’s a regular on r/PelletStoveTalk because of the 130 lb hopper (330 lb with the extension) and a starting price estimate of $1,819.
On paper it’s among the better pellet stoves in the database: 82% HHV and 0.53 g/hr, against a pellet median of 77%. The marketing undersells that by quoting the wrong numbers. “87.5% efficiency” is the LHV figure, which the manual prints next to the 81.9% HHV result. “Heat output 49,200 BTU/hr” is the top of the fuel input range; tested output peaks at 40,637 BTU/hr.
The manual’s heating range, 1,225 to 2,500 sq ft depending on climate zone, is a more honest sizing guide than the single 2,500 figure on the product page.
Bottom line: Strong efficiency and a huge hopper for the money. Read the manual’s HHV and output figures, not the product page’s headline numbers.

- Retail prices at Tractor Supply and other dealers.
- Real-world output in your house, which depends on wood moisture, chimney draft and how you run the stove. Nobody's lab number covers that.
